Bānītis NARROW GAUGE RAILWAY The only general usage narrow gauge railway line in the Baltic States. Exploitation stared in 1903. Since 1802 estate belong to baron von Wolff family.
There are two castles in the estate – White and Red. White Castle restoration works started in 2005. Surrounded by wide landscape park with ponds. Ambit – manor outbuilding and dwelling houses. During World War II bell tower was destroyed, the organ and altarpiece were lost.
Until nowadays Gothic style oak altar is preserved (the second half of 19th century), pulpit and rostrum (18th /19th cent.). Monument to M. The museum offers persistent exposition on the history of Gulbene and thematic exhibitions, permanent open ethnographic fund exposition in Vecgulbene manor barn, excursions around the town and the district.
