Blankenfelde Manor and Park
Description
Present architectural manor complex developed in the middle of the 18th century. Manor house is situated at the front of closed yard that is surrounded by household buildings. There still can be seen original 18th century brick and stone fence and small pavilions dated with the 19th century. The gate-tower was built in the beginning of the 20th century. Present elegant Baroque style manor-house was built on the place of elder one in 1743.
There were done some changes casing roof constructions and built new outhouse in the middle of the 19th century. There still have preserved original interior decorative finish as well as elements of later stylisations of the 19th century, such as original 18th century parquetry, profiled ceiling plafonds with coffers, baroque carved wooden doors, decorative paintings of classicism period in the Great Hall, windows and room doors of the beginning of the 19th century.
Exile King of France Louie XVIII resided in the manor-house in 1804-1805. In its origins there was regulary planned garden at the manor-house in the beginning of the 18th century. Present landscape English park with exotic trees and artificial ponds was made in the middle of the 19th century. Park perspective also includes the distant woodpark and natural meadows.
