Brewery Bauskas Alus – Beer of Bauska – was founded in 1981. Company has initially operated as a part of interkolkhoz canning factory. Production started with traditional at that time sorts of beer: Marta alus (March Beer), Rigas alus (Beer of Riga) and Sencu alus (Ancestors’ Beer).

Company started production of nowadays so famous sorts as Bauskas gaisais (Light Beer of Bauska) and Bauskas tumsais (Dark Beer of Bauska) in 1982.

Since the dawn of the Company its brewers were true (and are today) to classic brewing technology, thanks to which Brewery has earned place on store shelves and in hearts of people.

Still working for the Company is the oldest and the most experienced Latvian brewer – Karlis Zalitis, awarded for his valued work with Order of Three Stars of the 5th level.
Company’s non-alcoholic malt beverages Veseliba (Health) and Porteris (Porter) are produced in accordance with formula developed by Karlis Zalitis in 1961 and with technology, which forms the basis for stable, loved by people and, the most important, very healthy drink. Company is proud of the fact that no product produced by it contains preservatives.

Company is constantly modernizing itself and works on product quality improvement, in order to provide product of the highest quality to consumers.
