Minhauzena museum
Description
History claims that Hieronymus Karl Friedrich von Munchausen was a German and was born in the family of Baron George Otto von Munchausen in the town of Bodenwerder in 1720 as the fourth child. Already at the age of twelve he started to serve as a page in the court of prince Ulrich. When just few years later the prince left for Russia to lead the regiment of cuirassiers, the young baron von Munchausen joined him. As Munchausen and Jacobine were a married couple for 46 years, their life experience and advice will be useful for every newlywed couple. The museum offers entertainment for newlyweds for about an hour.
The newlyweds can visit the boudoir of Jacobine for a moment and sit on her bed, learn about Munchausen's favourite food, stamp a coin of good luck, learn some secrets of successful conjugal life, and clink glasses of champagne with their wedding guests. The cafe in the territory of the museum is open in summer; there you can have hot main course meals and refreshments – ice cream, juice.
