The Sculpture Garden was opened in 1988 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the publication of the the epic „Lāčplēsis”. It is located at the site of the Lielvārde manor (16th – early 20th century). The sculptures were created by Studio „Doma” artists under the guidance of Jānis Karlovs. The wooden sculptures depict 16 characters from the A. Pumpurs epic „Lāčplēsis”.
